pete tonight

the outcome of this week's elections are not what i had hoped for, christian democrats are once again the biggest which means we'll most likely have to deal with harry potter as our prime minister another couple of years.

thing is though that they have to form a majority coalition together with one or more other party's...question is which one?! the social democrats don't want to form a coalition with them, best other option is the socialist party, who have gone from 9 to 26 seats in parliament (hooray for that at least!)...but that's going to take months & months of negotiations if you ask me...blah!

on a happier note...i'm going to see pete murray tonight! tickets are already waiting on the dinnertable impatiently for some days nows, but tonight's the night :D if we get there that is, because i just heard there's been some accident on the train tracks between alkmaar & amsterdam...OF COURSE!
hopefully i'll be able to stand up and sing along all night, have been feeling really sick this weekend, had a fever last night but took some homeopathic drops and it seems that that helped, keeping my fingers crossed!

elections

so we have elections for a new parliament today, i voted for the green party again....have always voted for them, though everytime i'm doubting and thinking if i should go for one of the other left wing party's but end up at the green party anyway. green party has the best solutions for things that i find important, well according to me at least, plus that they're the only party with a woman at no. 1...really important for the feminist in me hehe :P

will be at elise's tonight, an old friend is visiting yay!, hopefully we can watch some of the results during the evening and i'm really keeping my fingers crossed we might get a left wing government...at last!

oh and i took this photo some time last week, was working on my thesis late in the afternoon with this view from my window...
