sailing the whitsunday islands

we didn't have to do the sailing ourselves though.
but this was sunday to tuesday, 2 lovely days & funny nights, following by the afterparty back in airlie beach on tuesday night.
we were really lucky with the weather, it had been quite bad the past few weeks but now it was just all sunshine!

we sailed out on sunday afternoon, arrived at our campingsite on cook island early that night.
then on monday we went to whitehaven beach early in the morning and then on to another spot where we did a free some scuba dive! it was the 1st time for most people, so we learned some basics on board and had to do some excercises in the water in groups of 3 before doing the actually dive. it was a bit weird and scary at first but then i totally enjoyed it.
later that afternoon the certified divers could do a dive and the rest of us also jumped in the water to do some snorkling, which was totally amazing...even saw a nemo fish! took photos with my underwater camera, hopefully they came out.
the rest of the day was spent on the boat, with some bizarre drinking games later that afternoon. we then headed back to 'our island' for dinner and the night.

our last morning we were woken up early again, 6:30 just as the day before. we had some rought sea that morning, went to a really nice place to do a last dive in the water and then headed back to airlie beach!
