first: i got a new job!!!
ok, so most people are like 'eh, you're going to do that travelguide job aren't you?'
YES YES YES i am...but my first trip will be in june and until then i need to live from something right? have lived from the state these past 1 1/2 months and it's not that much fun, prefer to earn my own money.
so this thursday i'm expected at the university library and i will start working behind the desk there! think it will not be the hardest job i ever had, but it will be nice...lending out books to all those students.
second: i'm going to visit some people in the UK!!!
april 1st (no joke!) easyjet will fly me to luton airport where ailsa will pick me up...so i hope! :P
on my first day there i'll already be in london...together with a bunch of roxette fans from the UK... help!!! ;)
don't know about further plans yet, but it will be fun fun fun!
later in the week i'll go to cambridge to visit katie! she's working there for some months now and as cambridge is sooooooooo much closer than sydney i have to visit her of course :D
will stay in cambridge until mondaynight april 10th when i'll fly back to amsterdam from stanstead airport.
all in all i'm very excited as i have never been to the UK before and always wanted to...to now visit some friends there will make it even more fun!
third: all of you who haven't listened to her yet should: swedish singer-songwriter-producer LALEH (http://www.laleh.se/)
her full name is laleh pourkari, she played one of the lead roles in the swedish movie 'jalla! jalla!' from 2000
on her debut album laleh wrote, produced and played all (except for in 1 song) the instruments on all songs...and she sang them of course :P
it's a weird mix of songs in english, swedish and even 1 song in persian...but it's absolutely wonderfull!
oh a couple of weeks ago she and, another one of my favourites, robyn both won 3 swedish grammis:
laleh won: artist of the year, producer of the year & newcomer of the year
robyn won: album of the year, songwriter of the year (together with klas åhlund) & pop-female of the year
gessle won nothing this year by the way...about time haha!
