bachelorette-party & wedding!

yes...one of my best friends got married on friday!!! :D :D :D
martien & boyfriend marc had been planning this for almost a year...and what a hell of a party it was!!!
posted a lot of pictures as you can see...also from the week before...

saturday october 29th - tien's bachelorette party:
first of all martien was late... boyfriend marc had has his bachelor party the night before and came home late, so tien had to wait for him to take care of little troy.
but she came (and kind of knew what was going on :P) and we went to have lunch at bagel&beans where everyone was waiting for us!
tien got her crown & magic stick that she had to keep with her the entire day...which she didn't really mind except for when we strolled through the main shopping street on our way to the mosaic-studio hehe... ;)
after a whole afternoon of being creative on our mosaic mirrors/bowls we went to tien's favourite restaurant in alkmaar: rose's cantina! we had a nice dinner & started with our game there... we had a box full of assignments with us...everybody had to do 2 of them & would get a nice, and sometimes kinky, little present afterwards :)
we continued our night in Atlantis...where we had a drink upstairs in the bar first & then continued downstairs at the 70's/80's party, yes!!! the drinks were going fast...the assignments were finished by everyone...and most of us got pretty drunk...

friday november 4th - the wedding day:
this time we were late! elise & me arrived at saskia&rick's place too late, and then we got lost on our way to muiden!
we weren't stressing too much about it, but when we finally arrived it was a pity to see martien was all dressed already and just came down the stairs...both marc and little troy were really surprised and happy when seeing martien in her wedding dress and full make-up. i think troy only realized this woman was really his mother when tien started talking to him.
while marc, martien & troy went away to take photos and most other people also left to prepare stuff, elise & me had the time to dress up ourselves!
later in the afternoon we all went to the muiderslot, the castle where the entire wedding would be held and waited for the happy couple to arrive...
and they did! with 3 fire engines and the sirens on!!!
the ceremony was really nice...elise & me had a hard time holding our tears in the end... but we did and also signed everything we needed to as martien's witnesses! got to keep the lovely feather pens to do that with :)
after that it was time for some more photos outside with family and friends...and then tien threw the bridal bouquet...luckily i didn't catch it though, but sas did! :D
the day went on with the reception where we got a piece(s!) of the fabulous wedding cake, mjam!!!
then we got a short guided tour through the castle before it was time for dinner!
we were about 30 people at dinner and sat at four tables. tien & marc changed tables after every course which was really nice. tien's sister jetteke was at out table together with troy...who got so tired halfway through the dinner that he only wanted to ly down in his mother's arm! almost at the end of the dinner tien's mother & her boyfriend finally left to take troy home with them.
at the same time it was time for out 'thing': a quiz we'd made about tien & marc....with some funny anecdotes that may have been long forgotten but not anymore hehe!
and then...it was time to party!!! well...i'm not gonna say much about that...there were drinks, there was a dj (sas's boyfriend rick!) and there were drunk people...it was fun, especially because tien & marc were the happiest people in the world the whole night!
